I scouted the location, prepared my gear, and arrived early for the highly anticipated eclipse/harvest moon.

Then the clouds blocked our view.
Some people left, others (including me) expressed disappointment, begged for the clouds to thin out.

Instead of the moon, this is what we had in front of us. Sure, it's not a view that you see only every few decades, but sometimes, you just have to appreciate what you have, instead of wishing for something you don't, especially if it's beyond your control.

You know the saying, "when life gives you lemons..."
