Briones Regional Park
Another scouting hike at Briones Regional Park is rewarded with this shot.
I walked past this spot going through the gate at Briones Crest Trail, about 400 feet going south. I saw some wildflowers but could not compose to get them to be the focal point. On my way back, I climbed up to where the wooden bench is, following a hawk and a northern harrier which were flying low.
That's where I saw this patch of buttercups (the map shows exactly where), and thought i'd come back when the light was better. It was around 3 PM, and as I was hiking down to leave, the sun hid behind some thin clouds, giving me a chance to snap a few.
